Today the team at Alpha base celebrated their first Christmas on Mars. The team all have small presents that they carried to Mars with them. Well-wishers also sent over three million e-cards which the are being displayed on screens throughout the base.
Team member, Nikolay Baturin presented his colleagues with small statuettes of astronauts that he had carved from Martian rock.
