Moving Day

20th August 2040

Astronauts David Martel, Jianyu Chu and Maria Dicello took the two light electric rovers to Alpha A4 today where they began the long process of moving the Hab to the sit of the permanent base. This task was originally to be performed by the team's heavy rover but this will no longer be possible given the damage sustained by the rover on landing. The astronauts will therefore be using the rover's built in winch to drag the Hab in small stages. The rover will need to be moved between each use of the winch. Both of the two light-weight electric rovers will be needed for this task.

Given the need to carry out this task in complicated stages, it is estimated that it will take a few days to achieve. The team's schedule is therefore being revised to take account of this problem.

Meanwhile, impressive photographs have been released from the unmanned balloon flight that was launched last week.
