Alpha A2

6th September 2040

A third Hab module was added to Alpha base today. Hab Alpha A2 was joined to Hab Alpha A4 by two separate pressurised walkways. This increases the space available to the team.

Work has also begun on the construction of small tents for storage. These are unpressurised, but enable the team to store equipment on the surface without being exposed to dust and wind.

Two experiments have been set up at the new permanent site and radio equipment reinstalled nearby.

The team are now turning their attention to Hab Alpha A1. This was the first Hab module to be landed and contains valuable supplies and equipment. It is not mobile, however, so these supplies will need to be moved from site to site. It was originally intended for them to do this with the heavy rover. Without this the task will be much more difficult so some of the supplies may be left on the Hab at this point.
