Hab Alpha A8 has now been moved to the site of Alpha base. This increases the space available to the team considerably, giving them five linked modules in their main accommodation block.
Work has also been underway to convert the lower levels of the Habs (used as storage space during the flight) into usable space. The lower deck of Hab Alpha 1, for example, is now a large communal room which can be used for team meetings and events. another lower deck is becoming a small medical centre.
The arrival of a fully functional heavy rover will increase the pace of construction work and should make wider exploration possible.
