A new construction project began today with the laying of a foundation stone. This new block will be two stories in height and will be a 120 meter square structure. The ground level will be completely pressurised from the beginning but it is hoped that the upper level will have locally manufactured windows. This new building will be constructed using marscrete blocks and sealing walls made from local resources. Airlocks, and life support systems will be made in the factory units in Stephenson. When completed this new block will add considerable space to the base and will be used for human habitation.
